What I Do for Drivers

I go through warranty plans one system at a time so you know where coverage starts and where it stops.

What I do

Plan Reviews by System

Every plan sorts your car into systems. I take each one in turn and tell you, in plain terms, what the contract promises there.

Engine Plan Review

I check which internal engine parts a plan names and which wear items it quietly skips.

Transmission Terms

I look at how a plan treats gears, the torque converter and the fluid service it expects from you.

Electrical Check

Starters, sensors and screens get sorted into listed, unlisted and dependent on the plan level.

Climate Parts Look

I separate true air conditioning parts from simple recharges so the list holds no surprises.

Heating Coverage

Some plans include the heater core and blower while others drop the system. I tell you which you have.

Fuel System Reading

I flag fuel pump and injector terms along with any clauses tied to filters and fuel quality.

Four simple steps

From Your Car to Your Cover

  1. Check Your Car

Mileage, make and model decide which warranty plans your car can join.

  2. Pick a Coverage Level

A powertrain plan lists core parts, while wider plans name many more.

  3. Go Over the Contract

Look through covered parts, exclusions and upkeep rules before signing.

  4. Use It When Parts Fail

The shop sends your claim, and approved repairs follow your plan terms.

How Wide a Plan Can Go

Most warranty plans fall into one of three widths. Knowing which one you hold tells you a lot before you even open the parts list.

Powertrain

The core that moves the car forward. A sensible floor for older cars that have already covered plenty of road.

  • Engine internals
  • Transmission
  • Drive axles

Listed Parts

A longer named list that reaches past the powertrain. If a part does not appear by name, it is not covered.

  • Steering and suspension
  • Cooling system
  • Selected electrical parts

Wide Coverage

Covers most parts except a short exclusion list. A good match for cars packed with screens and sensors.

  • Most mechanical parts
  • Onboard electronics
  • A short list of exclusions
Before you ask

Questions I Hear Often

Yes. Send me the contract and I will point out what it covers, what it skips and what upkeep it asks of you.

I lay out the tradeoffs plainly and give you my honest view. The final pick always stays with you.

Your mileage, make, model and any paperwork you already hold. That is usually enough for me to begin.

Pads, rotors and wiper blades are almost always left out as normal wear. I show you where your plan draws that line.

Problems that existed before a plan begins are usually excluded, so I help you check that before you sign anything.

Many contracts allow it, sometimes with a fee. I find the cancellation terms in your plan so you know them up front.
